The Crab Guy
Brett is a fourth generation bayman. He started harvesting clams and raising oysters as a teenager and continued into his early twenties. He was forced to stop when he became a Marine Conservation Officer for the state of NJ due to the conflict of interest. His career allowed him to spend days on the boat but it wasn't the bayman's life. Now retired, he is able to pursue his passion out on the water. Through his career as a Conservation Officer and having a degree in Marine Biology, Brett understands both the commercial harvesting and law enforcement sides of the fisheries and the importance of conservation. He is helping to preserve the delicate ecosystems of the Great Bay and Mullica River through restoration projects to ensure the sustainability and future of the marine resources.

Randomly found this place on my way home from the zoo. Cute little place on the side of the road. We picked up 50 clams for $20. Probably the cheapest around! Brett was awesome too! My kids were asking so many questions about the crabs and how he catches them and was honestly so nice. This place is a good 45 from me, but we will 100% be back!

We stopped over on Sunday to buy crabs and clams for my wife’s birthday dinner. Everything was delicious and we were taken care of like family! This is our second time buying crabs here and it will be the only place we buy from locally.

Got a half bushel of blue claw. The price was reasonable. Crabs were all big no smalls, not even a medium in the batch. Next time..crabs, shrimp & clams is on my list
